For our NAIDOC Celebrations, Biddabah Public School held a whole school assembly in our hall where our Indigenous students and our school leaders spoke about NAIDOC day.
This was followed by the Indigenous dance group from Swansea Public School who performed for our students. The group then invited the Biddabah students and teachers to follow them in another dance – this was well received by all.
The assembly then watched a powerpoint presentation showing famous Indigenous people. Finally, the story of Tiddalik was shown and the students concluded the assembly.
Each class also viewed the story of the Rainbow Serpent on Youtube. All classes were then given a piece of a rainbow serpent jigsaw to decorate. The completed puzzle will be displayed for all students and visitors to see.
